For mains, we ordered a chicken katsu, sweet potato hamburg, curry udon, and 2 cook your own gyukatsu plates. The portions are fairly large and enough to fill your stomach. The chicken katsu took a long time to come; everyone else was nearly done eating already. Of the 2 gyukatsu, one had no marbling while the other had some, and this is very disappointing for gyukatsu. The pieces are also cut a bit too thin, which makes them flimsy when grilling on the hot stone. We also ordered a plate of wings, which were over cooked and the pieces are very skinny.
Their service was a mixed bag and their team feels very uncoordinated. As I said, one of our mains came very late and they also didn’t seem too knowledgeable about the drinks they served. But also, the owner came and gave us a free bottle of soju as newcomers and a slice of cheesecake for my birthday, so that is very kind. At the very least, they are working hard and trying their best.
The food took a long time to be served but it was worth the wait. The food is certainly freshly made and even the side of macaroni is well dressed. The curry is not spicy and having a bit more kick would have been nice.
There aren't a lot of servers around, so things do take a while.
this place was so popular on a monday that they ran outta chicken... and they were kind enough to offer us shrimp tempura on the house and some takoyaki (did i wish that correctly?) ... very kind and thoughtful. i highly recommend this place... and ladies try their cold peach tea
Very tasty Koreatown must! If you want different food with an experience this is the place. The cheese Hamburg is the best one! Also the chicken Katsu is delicious.
The katus and soba were good. The kid tried the Hamburg and liked it a lot. The next table did a cook it yourself Hamburg and it looked fun, but it generated lots of smoke.
Sadly, I think they're extremely understaffed to the point where I couldn't even really be upset. I'm not expecting great service but you can tell the staff did not want to be there. The tables were still dirty. The food was bland. The "curry" had nothing in it; it was just the sauce. The ramen tasted old. The katsu was just okay. The boba was so hard and undercooked; the milktea flavors didn't match up. They were out of "a lot" of things; even the cups for the milk tea. Honestly it's a fail. Again, they're so understaffed and rundown that i can't even get upset. I just feel bad for the staff and the establishment. First time here and I'm sad to say I won't be back.
The restaurant environment is decorated appropriately to the theme they’re trying to set. It’s a great place to go to for the experience of cooking the hamburger meat on the hot stone like the Australians do. The taste was mediocre though. I feel people go if they want a chill vibe or just want that hot stone cooking experience. Service was great. The servers helped anyone who was struggling with the hot stone cooking as needed and explained any menu items when asked.
This was such a cute spot with delicious food! They have an all day dollar oyster special that was out of this world. They were perfectly chilled and the sake was yummy! I also ordered the cheese katsu, which resembled cheese sticks but there's a surprise- it has pork and cheese! OMG! The Takoyaki was also bomb! service was very kind. Personally, I can't to go back and try their signature plates. BTW, everything was reasonably priced.
